Woolcott Research and Engagement specialises in social and government research and engagement. Liz joined the business in 2008, and now has over 20 years’ experience in the research and engagement industry both here and in the UK.

In Australia she has used her extensive research and engagement skills to work with Essential Energy on its Regulatory Proposal engagement since 2016. In addition, she has managed large scale projects for clients including CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy, Sydney Water, Seqwater, Hunter Water, the Department of Education and many local councils.

Before coming to Australia, she worked at Opinion Leader Research where she was trained by America Speaks, who specialised in 21stCentury Town Meetings that brought together more than 170,000 citizens in deliberations to influence critical policy issues. Subsequently she was on the core project team for one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious public engagement exercises called ‘Your Health, Your Care, Your Say’, which brought together a thousand members of the public at a deliberative forum on community-based health and social care services. She also worked on similar projects on the National Health Service review for Prime Minister Gordon Brown and a Climate Change Summit for Prince Charles which involved 10 simultaneous forums linked by videoconferencing technology.
