Leonis a passionate, outcome driven Kuku Yalanji Bama (North Queensland Aboriginal)and Ugar Umle, Torres Strait Islander, senior Indigenous community engagement consultant.

He has over a decade of local government, legal and corporate governance experience. He is an advocate for Indigenous self-determination and two-way thinking initiatives that inspire and maximises caring for Country and revival and maintenance of culture. A skilful, considered, sincere communicator and influencer who is experienced at proactively managing highly complex and sensitive Indigenous stakeholder relationships.

He fosters positive and empowering partnerships across various stakeholder groups including all tiers of government, the corporate sector, Traditional Custodians and grassroots Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities.

A champion and change agent for Country, Traditional Custodians, truth telling, decolonialising, reconciliation and solidarity.
